Officials Investigating Video Of 4 White Men Stalking A Black Teen Around Florida Neighborhood
Just in, a Florida Sherrif’s Department is launching an investigation into a viral video showing four white men seemingly stalking and harassing a Black teen around Florida neighborhood following Hurricane Milton.
The teen’s mom, Whitney Portela, posted a video on TikTok showing her son walking around his neighborhood shortly after Hurricane Milton ravaged the area.
According to the woman, her son went to walk around to try to gain cellular connection because they had no power. However, as he walked, multiple neighbors can be seen walking closely behind him, pressing him and asking why he was in “their” neighborhood.

“You’ve been past my house four times, I don’t know you, I’ve never seen you before and you’re walking past my house over and over again,” one of the men said to the teen.
“Do you live out here?” another man asks.
“I’m a part of the neighborhood,” the young boy replied. “Do you live here? You went up to my wife,” one man accuses. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the teen said. “And I think I can walk around my neighborhood.” “Yeah, if you live here,” one of the men responds.
In another clip, one of the men can be seen exiting a white sedan and retrieving something from the passenger seat which many viewers believe was a gun, although it was never confirmed. When he tried to charge at the teen, another man stops him and holds him back.
The teen’s mother says she was deeply disturbed by the video and glad her son is okay. The Sarasota Sherrif’s Department was forced to issue a statement into the investigation after the clip went viral on social media.
“We’re aware of a video circulating on various social media platforms of an incident that occurred in the Skye Ranch neighborhood on Thursday, October 10. Detectives have been assigned and are actively locating and interviewing witnesses in what appears to be an altercation involving neighbors and a male subject who was recording himself as he was walking,” the post reads.
