Florida Teen Arrested For Fatally Stabbing His Mother In The Neck, After Being Released From Jail For Shooting & Killing His Father The Year Before
A 17-year-old Auburndale, Florida teen is going viral after being arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing his mother in the neck just one year after he was released from jail for shooting and killing his father.
According to reports reaching us, Catherine Griffin a 39 year old Florida mom was stabbed in the neck by her seventeen year old son following a disagreement.
On Sunday around 4pm, Catherine went to pick up her son Colin, to meet with his probation officer but he refused. It was gathered that this lead to an altercation between the two.

After about two and a half hours, Colin called 911 telling the police that his mother had grabbed a knife and lunged at him with it then tripped on it and injured herself, according to ABC News.
According to the neighbors, about two hours prior to Catherine being found dead, her son was seen dragging her by her hair outside of his grandmothers home. Authorities claim the teen showed no signs of remorse upon arrival and his initial comments were “I know my rights, I want a lawyer”.
What makes this more disturbing is considering the fact that just a year prior, Catherine paid $50,000 to bail Colin out of jail for fatally shooting his father.
At the time, Colin claimed self defense stating that his 43 year old father chased him around the house with a knife before cornering him in February 2023.
Following his claims, prosecutors determined they ‘could not disprove Colin’s assertion of self-defense’ and he was released after his mother posted bond.
