Tyrese Claims Snoop Dogg Is Bigger Than Jay-Z Globally
Tyrese Gibson has sparked some debate amongst Hip Hop fans following controversial claim that Snoop Dogg is more famous than JAY-Z.
He made this claim during a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast where the two discussed Snoop and the HOV’s popularity.
The actor and singer began by asking a question: “Who’s a bigger rapper globally? Most famous of the two. JAY-Z or Snoop Dogg?” He then added saying, “If JAY-Z and Snoop Dogg were in a mall in Moscow, who would shut the mall down?”

Tyrese believes Snoop Dogg is more famous. “Biggest fucking superstar in the world. That’s my big homie. Long Beach, West Coast, I wish a motherfucker would,” he added.
The ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise star has made a lot of headlines recently over his divorce and child support battle with his ex wife, Samantha Gibson. Just last week, he revealed he’s stressed out he’s stressed out as his ex-wife is asking a court to increase his monthly child support payments to $40,000 a month.
“I’m out here stressed the f-ck out,” the actor said on livestream, adding that his ex-wife had initially requested $20,000 monthly child support.
The 45-year-old then accused Samantha and her lawyers of “trying to take the monthly child support to $40,000”. He also claimed that Samantha earns almost $150,000 annually as a social media influencer.
“She divorced me 4 years ago in August 2020 and she makes close to $150k or $160k at this point because she is on social media. I’m out here stressed out because she divorced me,” he said.
