Judge Mathis Says He’s Trying To Get His Wife Back After Divorce Announcement

Judge Mathis Says He’s Experiencing The Worst Days Of His Life Amid Divorce
About a week ago, Judge Mathis’ wife, Linda Yvette Mathis, filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage. Just in, Judge is already trying to get his wife back, admitting he’s experiencing the worst days of his life.
Linda filed paperwork on Thursday, Aug. 22, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed their date of separation as July 17.
Additionally, Linda is asking for spousal support and requesting that her requirement of spousal support be waived. Ironically, the now estranged couple displayed PDA in a photo taken at the reopening of Michigan Central in Detroit, weeks prior.
Mathis however opened up to TMZ at LAX Friday, making it known that divorce isn’t what he wants, and that he’s doing everything he can to turn things around and win Linda back while they’re still under the same roof.
The 64-year-old admits that not making Linda his top priority during his career led to their downfall. He also gives some sound advice to other men on how to avoid the same situation.
He initially told the reporter recording him that he was doing “good,” but quickly changed his answer, saying it’s some of the “worst days” of his life. “Not holding up very well. I will say that other men, maybe I’ll be an example for other men, cautionary tale. Don’t neglect your wife,” he said.
“Never be busy, never have too much fun beyond your wife,” he said. “We’re still in the same house and we’re maintaining a friendship, and I’m trying to get my wife back. I have to show her that, though. Hopefully, I can show her while we’re there together. And hopefully, she doesn’t complete the process, but I’m changing in hopes that she will.”
Judge Mathis however shut down rumors about him being unfaithful in the marriage or other wild allegations, including involvement with a minor. Watch the video below:
