Mother of Quando Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab, reportedly traveled all the way from Savannah, Georgia to Los Angeles, California to attend Lil Durk’s bond hearing.

For context, the Chicago rapper is currently awaiting trial after being accused of plotting the 2022 killing of Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson.

According to Meghann Cuniff who was present at the hearing, Pab’s mother said she fears for her life as she wept in court. She also showed reporters Pab’s memorial button, which has “Saviay’ a. My son. My best friend,” written on it.

She had him when she was 15 and he was her only child. Judge Fitzgerald heard argument from Durk’s lawyer Drew Findley and prosecutors about the bail motion and the request for grand jury transcripts. He also heard from the victim’s mother, who wept as she talked about “my baby.”

The judge took the proposal which includes $1 million in cash, $1 million from his record label, and $700,000 in real estate equity, along with 24/7 private security, GPS monitoring, and court oversight under submission, which means no ruling has been made yet, and the rapper remains in custody pending further decision.

However, judge Fitzgerald noted that while the bail package was substantial, it might not guarantee Lil Durk’s appearance at trial, but also acknowledged that prosecutors have not presented strong enough evidence to justify continued detention without bail.

The OTF honcho’s team has challenged the prosecution’s evidence, including claims of an unreliable federal informant providing misleading information, and they are seeking a review by a district judge, who has broader authority to overturn prior rulings.

The trial is still set for October 14, 2025, and Durkio has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and related gun charges.

On the brighter side for Lil Durk, federal prosecutors have confirmed they will not pursue the death penalty against the 32-year-old rapper, as reported by XXL Magazine.
