Fans Unimpressed With Kendrick Lamar’s Leaked Verse On Frank Ocean’s “Nights”

Kendrick Lamar is currently trending after one of his scrapped verses surfaced. The leaked verse is specifically the scrapped one on Frank Ocean’s “Nights.”

On it, the Compton native seems to be experimenting to find a direction before recording a final cut. However, fans are unimpressed with it and he’s since been getting roasted.

Majority of the fans in the comments are disappointed with Kendrick and happy it was left off the record. Others believe he delivered with this one. It’s however  unclear exactly why the version featuring Kendrick was never formally released.

“Nigga was just saying shit,” the top comment reads. “This isn’t bad but I feel like he was testing out the pockets and voices on the beat,” a fan commented. “ Wow this is complete dogshit,” another person wrote.

“I fw Kendrick but some times this nigga does bullshit on instrumentals and make weird ass voices and people swear it’s expiremental shit sounds horrible,” someone else added.

Lamar has been in the news following his heated feud with Drake couple months back, where he was widely believed to have triumphed. At the time, KDot put a nail on the coffin with a danceable Drake diss track ‘Not Like Us’.

Last month, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason, Jr., confirmed that ‘Not Like Us’ is eligible for the Grammys, adding to the buzz surrounding the track’s success.

“You got an artist that’s been nominated before. He’s been successful with the organization. I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be,” Harvey Mason said.
