‘Not Like Us’ was the game changer in the heated beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The diss track produced by DJ Mustard became a catchy tune that the masses accepted.

Dot dropped the track few moment after releasing ‘Meet The Grahams’ and it ultimately made the Compton native the victor of the feud.

Just in, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason, Jr., has now confirmed that ‘Not Like Us’, whose video was recently shot and is expected to drop soon, is eligible for the Grammys, adding to the buzz surrounding the track’s success.

Harvey Mason discussed ‘Not Like Us’ on June 24th per the Recording Academy. The CEO was hopeful the diss track could clinch an award at the next Grammys when TMZ reporters asked about the song’s chances of getting a Grammy nomination.

He also noted that Kungfu Kenny is a favorite among Grammy voters. “You got an artist that’s been nominated before. He’s been successful with the organization. I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be,” Mason said.

TMZ reporters inquired whether “Not Like Us,” with its fiery accusations and verbal jabs, might be too spicy for Grammy voters, but Mason insisted that at the core, Grammy voters prioritize “greatness,” and Dot embodies just that.

“It resonates deeply on multiple fronts. I trust that Academy members recognize its impact,” the CEO said before weighing in on the idea of a potential “diss” category at the Grammys.

“Hey, you never know,” he said without outrightly dismissing the notion. Apparently Drake should have thought about that line in his diss track, “Kendrick just opened his mouth. Someone go hand him a Grammy right now.”

This revelation has since caused a debate among Hip Hop fans both online and offline, with many sharing their thoughts on a diss track winning a Grammy. “Imagine the speech that’s gonna go along with it after he wins it,” a fan commented.
