North Carolina rapper, J. Cole made headlines couple days ago after he was spotted in New York City casually shopping for a Tesla Cybertruck.

A TikTok user shared the video of Jermaine at the dealership looking to buy the electric vehicle and it quickly went viral across social media.

According to the TikToker, Cole was ignored because the manager didn’t recognize him and was persuading him instead. The 39-year-old is known for his simple lifestyle and despite being a multimillionaire, he’s often spotted riding his bicycle in public.

“J Cole & I shopping for teslas at the same time while the manager kept ignoring him bc he didn’t know who he was & continued persuading me to place the order for a car,” the fan wrote on the video.

While we can’t confirm the rapper was truly ignored at the dealership, a prominent journalists on X, formerly Twitter, Mario Nawfal, posted the footage with their own analysis.

“The video showed Cole being approached by Tesla staff, contrary to the TikToker’s initial claim that he was ignored,” Mario captioned the video on the platform.

Fans also slid into the comments to share their thoughts on the 37 seconds clip. “The TikToker’s tweet about J. Cole being ignored at the Tesla dealership is a joke,” a user on X commented.

“It’s clear the staff recognized him and were trying to help. Stop trying to go viral with fake news! It’s not that deep. J. Cole is a chill dude,” the person added.

We also could not confirm if the ‘Middle Child’ rapper eventually bought the cybertruck from the dealership. Neither Cole nor the dealership has addressed the claims of the rapper being ignored.
