17-Year-Old Girl Arrested For Shooting & Killing A Sonic Manager After She Tried To Buy Food Using Fake Money

Just when I thought I’ve seen it all! A 17-year-old San Antonio girl, Adiah Namir Roberson, was arrested in Dallas, Texas for allegedly shooting and killing a Sonic manager.

According to reports, Roberson was on the run for three months before she was arrested in an apartment complex in Dallas.

The teen and a 27-year-old named Joshua Joseph, already in custody, allegedly became furious after a Sonic employee, Daniel Shrewsbury, denied giving them food because they tried to pay with fake money, per the New York Post.

The 33-year-old victim tried to take a photo of their license plate while they were attempting to leave the Sonic. Joseph then threatened him that he was going to get shot.

Afterwards, Roberson got out of the vehicle and opened fire on Shrewsbury with no hesitation. The employee was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although Roberson was recently arrested after being placed on Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Teens and having a $5k reward for any tips that lead to an arrest, her accomplice, Joseph had been arrested since August.

The fatal shooting reportedly happened on July 7 at a Sonic Drive-In in the 5500 block of Babcock Road in San Antonio. Upon arrival, officers found Shrewsbury unresponsive with a gunshot wound in the chest.

Authorities confirm she was captured because of a tip they were given and that she’s waiting to be transferred back to San Antonio and has a $520,000 bond.
