Italian Boxer Angela Carini Tearfully Quits Olympic Fight After Being In The Ring With A Biological Male, Imane Khelif

Italian boxer Angela Carini, is currently going viral after she tearfully abandoned her match against Algerian Imane Khelif after just 46 seconds in the ring.

Carini was forced to quit the fight because Khelif was permitted to fight Carini at the Olympics despite being disqualified from the women’s world championships last year for failing testosterone and gender eligibility tests.

The heartbroken Italian boxer admitted that she pulled out after being hit harder than she had ever been hit before. It only took two punches from Khelif for her to start bleeding. “I am heartbroken,” she said.

Carini continued, “I went to the ring to honor my father. I was told a lot of times that I was a warrior but I preferred to stop for my health. I have never felt a punch like this.”

“I got into the ring to fight. I didn’t give up, but one punch hurt too much and so I said enough. I’m going out with my head held high,” she added. This situation has sparked an outrage at the Olympics and among folks online.

“Why can’t ppl in the trans community compete against their equal in the trans community???” someone queried. “THEY DONT listen when we are in domestic violence situations now they are giving men permission to hit us,” another person wrote.

The alleged biological male boxer, Khelif, stopped briefly to speak to the BBC. “I am here for gold. I will fight anybody, I will fight them all,” the Algerian said.
