Dwyane Wade is turning heads with his new business interest. The NBA star has made controversial headlines multiple times over his sexuality and the parenting of his trans child Zaya.

The father of two have been called ‘zesty’ for his fashion sense. Wade has stirred controversy once more after revealing that he’s considering starting his own nail polish line.

The former basketball point guard made this known during a recent interview with CBS Mornings. It started after the host saw some pop of color and asked him to show his nails. “What was the impetus for?” She asked. “Expression,” Wade replied.

“I’m creative, I’m expressive, and there’s so many ways to do that,” he said. The host then asked when we’ll be getting a new manicure. “I’m actually thinking about jumping into the nail line. I’ve been thinking about it,” he revealed.

“Like I’ve been in it so long. And I’m like, You know what, it could be a good time, but I got some cool ideas and I’m exploring. I’ve been having some conversations on my own about exploring,” he continued.

In the clip which can be seen below this article, the 42-year-old said that his inspirations to take on the project has been his 6-year-old daughter, Kaavia, and spending time with her. It has, in fact, been his most favorite part of his manicure routine.

“One of my favorite things to do when it comes to this is actually sitting down with my daughter and getting my nails painted and paint hers,” he added. “That’s the time that we get to connect. Me doing something that she loves and also that I love.”

The interview has since gone viral, garnering lots of reactions from netizens, many of whom are claiming Zaya Wade’s transition is some sort of indication of Dwyane’s preferences. Watch the interview below:
