Colt Gray’s Father Arrested & Charged For Gifting His Teen Son The Gun Used In The School Shooting

At least 4 people were killed at a Georgia high school after a teen shooter identified as Colt Gray, opened fire inside the school. The incident happened at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, GA around 10:20 a.m..

Just in, Colt Gray’s father, Colin Gray, has been arrested amid news of him gifting his teen son the gun used in the deadly shooting.

According to Georgia Bureau of Investigation via Twitter, Colin Gray has been arrested and charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, eight counts of cruelty to children and two counts of second degree murder.

The arrest was after the New York Post reported that the father of 14-year-old Colt Gray, told police that he actually gifted the teenager the AR-15 style rifle used in the shooting last December as a Christmas gift.

The controversial part is that it was given to him after the FBI had visited the family last May due to alleged online threats of a school shooting from Gray. However, they didn’t further the investigation at that time because there was no probable cause.

Also, when Colt’s bedroom was searched after the shooting, authorities found writing from him that reference the tragic Parkland shooting and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School from 2018.

Following the shooting, a video surfaced showing a 14-year-old boy recall watching his classmates get shot. “I started running and he started shooting like 10 times, he shot at least 10 times,” the boy began.

“And then I ran to the back of the classroom. I dived behind the desk and my teacher had got in front of me.. like he was guarding me,” he continued.

“I was checking on my other friend because he got grazed in his leg and then there was a White girl that was in front of me.. she got shot in her leg and stuff, and then my other friend got shot in her stomach. It was just so sad,” the boy added.
