Texas Man Charged With Capital Murder After Confessing To Feeding His 4-Month-Old Daughter Gasoline

A 24 year old Texas man has been charged with capital murder after he confessed to pouring gasoline down his 4 month old daughter’s mouth.

The heartbreaking incident happened in Paris, Texas which is about 100 miles north of Dallas and the story is so chilling.

The 24-year-old man identified as Edgar James Bridgemon, confessed to feeding his daughter gas after being caught by the child’s mother, according to reports from Fox 4.

Per the publication, Bridgemon was home alone with the child when the incident occurred and actually tried to flea the scene before being caught and confessing.

The infant’s mother revealed she left the two alone and when she came back home it smelled of gasoline. She then asked Bridgemon “Why does it smell like gas?” Although the answer he provided is unclear, this made her to call the police.

The mother who requested to go unnamed regarding this incident, did however claim he most likely did this because she does not want to be with him.

According to the Paris Police Department, Bridgemon is being cooperative and is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

“Like I said before people need to start being evaluated men before being able to reproduce legally,” someone commented on the news. “He didn’t feed her…he forced that & down her throat because I can’t see anyone drinking gasoline like it’s milk under the jail he goes,” another person wrote.
