Wiz Khalifa Arrested & Charged With Illegal Drug Possession In Romania

Wiz Khalifa is currently embroiled in some legal trouble down in Romania. The rapper has reportedly been charged with illegal drug possession after performing at festival.

The ‘Black & Yellow’ hitmaker was arrested and charged after he allegedly consumed cannabis on stage.

According to South China Morning Post, authorities in Romania consider cannabis as a “risk drug”, and those caught with it are looking at up 10 years in jail. Apparently, this information is unknown to Khalifa.

“During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti,” a statement from the Romanian prosecutors began on Sunday.

“The accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette,” the statement added.

The 36-year-old was taken in to be charged, but wasn’t kept in custody.

Last week, Wiz Khalifa was faced with heavy backlash over his link up with Ryan Garcia just days after the boxer went on a racist rant.

In a video shared by Garcia on Sunday (July 7), the boxer and Wiz shook hands in a bar before the Taylor Gang rapper gave the athlete his phone number to stay connected.
