Although XXXTentacion’s career was cut short, he had a cult following among his young fanbase during his time, with his depression and alienation themed style of music.

XXX whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was considered as one of the pioneers of the emo rap and SoundCloud rap genres, which became mainstream attention during the mid-to-late 2010s.

The ‘Moonlight’ rapper was murdered when he was shot near a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The incident happened on June 18, 2018 and he was just 20 years old at the time.

The culprits fled the scene in a SUV after stealing his belonging, including a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50K in cash.

Just in, a video footage has now surfaced, showing the moment police officers found XXXTentacion inside his car with no pulse. “Any pulse,” the officer on speaker asked. “No pulse,” the other officer yelled in response.

The footage found its way online and has since gone viral, garnering reactions from netizens. “Sad smh. Bro was just minding his business, checking out Bikes to possibly buy,” someone commented. “So why not start CPR? Police or anyone can’t pronounce anyone dead other than a doctor,” another person wrote.

Eventually, 4 men were arrested and charged with first-degree murder among other charges in connection to the rapper’s death. One of the four suspects pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in August 2022.

He did this in exchange for testimony against the other three defendants in their trial.

The trial started on February 7, 2023, and all three were found guilty on all counts on March 20, 2023. On April 6, 2023, the culprits were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Last week, controversial boxer Ryan Garcia, made a scathing claim that Drake killed XXXTentacion. “F*ck it Drake killed X,” the banned boxer wrote on X, formerly Twitter, before backtracking by adding: “I’m sorry Drake my bad it’s love”.
