Back in February, the “Taste” crooner shared that his mother had passed on January 18, 2025, though he didn’t disclose the cause of death. The news left fans shocked and sympathetic, as Tyga has always spoken fondly and openly about the powerful role his mother played in his life.

“I been trying to understand and process why God takes the most meaningful and most beautifulest people away from us,” he wrote in an emotional Instagram tribute posted shortly after her passing.

“But I know I’ll never get an answer that will fill the emptiness in my heart… I would trade anything just to be able to be with you again. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” he added.

Tyga recently decided to give fans another deeply personal glimpse into his grieving process. He shared that he met with celebrity psychic Tyler Henry, known for his show Hollywood Medium, in an effort to connect with his late mother spiritually.

“Thanks for visiting today. Great conversation and connecting [with] my mom,” he wrote on a photo of himself and Tyler shared on his Instagram Story, per MTO.

Although the former Young Money artist didn’t share the details of their conversation, it’s clear the moment meant a lot to him — and may have brought him some much-needed peace.
