Criminal Gets Manhandled While Attempting To Rob A Man At Taco Bell Who Was A Skilled Jiu-jitsu Purple Belt

A man would have been a victim of a mugging in New York. Thanks to the fact that he was a full-fledged skilled jiu-jitsu purple belt, unknown to his attacker who got manhandled.

28-year-old Kyle was in the middle of eating a cheese quesadilla at the Taco Bell on Junction Blvd on a sunny Tuesday when a would-be thief tried to snatch his phone.

However, Kyle, who’s a lawyer with a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, was more than ready to defend himself. The man skillfully defended himself fended, turning an ordinary lunch into an unforgettable showdown, according to the Daily Mail.

Kyle quickly put the thief in a headlock as seen in the security footage. He then pushed him to the ground when he attempted to grab his phone. “He wanted my phone. He had come up behind me and was asking me for, money or something. I told him no and then he came back and lunged for my phone,’ Kyle said in a post shared on Reddit.

He was eating at a counter seat next to the door when the thief tried to grab his phone with one hand and another on the door handle to make a quick escape, but Kyle kept a tight grip and scooted out of his chair as he fought off the attacker.

He immediately wrapped his arm around the thief, pushed him to the ground, and grabbed his cell phone off the floor. The criminal then got up while and left the restaurant with bated breath.

“He was saying “I’m good, I’m good.” I figured that he just wanted my phone and wasn’t willing to fight anymore so I let him go,” Kyle continued.

“I’m a purple belt, I started in January 2018. What was going through my mind was probably thinking “oh s**t, I need to take this guy down,” and then realizing I could have been stabbed,” he added in his interview. Watch the video of the incident below:
