Tay-K Found Guilty Of Murder In 2017 Shooting Of San Antonio Photographer
Tay-K Not Found Guilty Of Capital Murder, But Guilty Of Murder

Rapper Tay-K, real name Taymor McIntyre, has been convicted of murder for the second time. He was previously sentenced to 55 years in prison in 2019 in connection to a murder committed during a botched home invasion.

Well, a jury on Monday delivered its verdict in the capital murder trial of the 24-year-old “The Race” crooner.

The jury found Taymor not guilty’ of capital murder but ‘guilty’ of murder in the 2017 death of Mark Anthony Saldivar, per Rolling Stone. The jury will decide his fate for Saldivar’s murder, which could be a prison sentence anywhere from 5 to 99 years.

If the rapper was convicted of capital murder, he would’ve been sentenced to life in prison since he was 16 at the time of Saldivar’s killing.

As we previously reported, his ex-girlfriend, Joanna Reyes, testified that he was the shooter in the killing of Mark Anthony Saldivar. She told authorities she picked him up and a few others in an SUV under the guise of doing a photoshoot.

The unexpected happened when the 24-year-old rapper and his crew reportedly tried to jack Saldivar’s camera gear.

“He opened the door and leaned out on one leg. He shot him,” she said tearfully, adding that Tay-K and associate Jaylen Bell then exchanged some words before Bell allegedly threw his hands up in celebration and gave Tay-K a high-five and told the young rapper, “You caught your first body.”

Tay-K is currently serving 55 years for a 2019 home invasion murder, so parole isn’t really on the horizon.
