Tank has sparked a debate online following his recent interview with Stephen A. Smith. The R&B singer says  Chris Brown is better than Michael Jackson, causing a lot of controversy among fans.

“Chris Brown is in fact better than Michael Jackson,” Tank said. “What! do you understand what you’re saying,” Stephen replied.

“Tank do you understand what you’re saying my man? I mean, you’re admired, you’re revered, you’re associated with music my brother. Everybody loves and respects you,” the host added in disbelief.

The R&B star then compared the scenario with NBA icon Magic Johnson and LeBron James. “If there was Magic Johnson, now there is LeBron James. That’s the ultimate evolution of a man who can play all five positions. When we talk about Chris Brown, we’re talking about the evolution of Michael Jackson.”

He continued, “The evolution of Usher, the evolution of me, the evolution of Ginuwine. That is what this kid is.” Stephen then interjected saying:

“Come on man, when I saw Chris Brown perform, he’s the best in the world right now, the best in the world one of one. I’m just challenging the next level, I didn’t know there was a next level after Michael Jackson.

“Vocal ability: MJ < CB
Writing ability: MJ < CB
Producing ability: MJ < CB
Dancing ability: MJ < CB,” he tweeted,

“I know you’re going to say MJ’s catalog is crazy, songs are classic, etc but that was because of a LOT Of great people involved who were some of the greatest at what they do.” He continued.

“CB orchestrates his own movement from studio, to visual, to show! No handouts, no sponsors, and all while the world was against him! I’m ready to argue!!” The singer who has worked with Chris Brown on three different songs added.
