Detroit Rapper Sada Baby Arrested On Drug Charges In Michigan

Detroit rapper Sada Baby, real name Casada Sorrell, is behind bars after a routine traffic stop from January turned into a felony drug case.

According to reports, the 32-year-old was pulled over by police in Sterling Heights around 4 a.m. on Jan. 9 due to illegal window tint.

A quick records check revealed the rapper had an outstanding warrant for driving without a license, something he hadn’t had for three years.

The “Pressin” hitmaker was arrested at the scene, and officers also found suspected drugs in the vehicle that needed to be tested. Weeks later, lab results recently confirmed the substance was narcotics.

Baby pleaded guilty in February to failure to display a driver’s license, according to Billboard. He paid a $200 fine and the charge was dismissed. He is yet to be arraigned and a court date hasn’t been assigned as the “Whole Lotta Choppas” rapper remains behind bars.

Sorrell was arrested again Tuesday and is now facing a felony charge for possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance. He remains in Macomb County Jail, with an arraignment date still pending.

When reports of Sada Baby’s arrest emerged, the rapper’s wide-eyed mug shot quickly went viral on social media.
