Rihanna appears to be a big fan of GloRilla and she’s not even hiding it. The iconic singer made headlines earlier this week after she shared a video of herself vibing to Glo’s latest single “TGIF.”

Riri king of surprised fans as she lip-synced to the song. Fans weren’t the only one amused, her partner A$AP Rocky was also stunned by the scene.

“It’s 7 p.m. Friday/ It’s ninety-five degrees/ I ain’t got no n-gga and no n-gga ain’t got me,” the mother of two raps along to GloRilla’s lyrics. “Where my drink at, man? I’m too old for this shit,” a confused Rocky said in reaction.

Well, Riri is trending again after showing love to Glo by sliding into her DM to enquire about when her album is dropping, although she admitted to being hypocritical with the question.

Yesterday, Glo posted a DM from Fenty makeup mogul in the last slide of an Instagram carousel from her 2024 BET Awards afterparty. “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?” the 36-year-old asked.

Of course, fans have since been reacting to the DM. “At least she realized it’s hypocritical,” someone commented. “Glo needs to reply ‘when you hop on a track boo,’” another person wrote.

“GLO went from being in the hood to Rihanna in her DMs asking about her album! Crazy turnaround there,” a third person penned. “Rihanna gonna drop Fenty Furniture before she an album,” someone else joked.

Fans have been waiting for Riri to drop her ninth album basically since her eighth project Anti dropped in 2016, but R9‘s release date seems to be a mystery. The singer made headlines back in June after she confused fans by wearing a T-shirt that reads “I’m Retired. This Is As Dressed Up As I Get.”

She however clarified to Extra that it was just a fashion statement. “They didn’t read the second line. I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort,” she said.
