Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer Blockstar Cuts Off His Ankle Monitor After Probation Officer Says She’s Worried For His Life

Earlier this week, one of the alleged killers of Pop Smoke, King Vermont Raskel, was freed from juvenile detention after he turned 21.

King Vermont Raskel, also known as Blockstar, was released after serving four years in a youth prison. His release was publicized after online sleuths discovered that his Instagram page is now active again.

Blockstar was a minor at the time of the rapper’s death in 2020. Following his release, Vermont shared picture on his page showing him alongside some bodyguards, telling people to ‘leave me alone’ in the caption.

He’s since been trending after sharing a clip of his probation officer telling him that she’s scared for his life and wants to take him somewhere safe. “The sh*t I gotta go through,” he wrote on the video.

“Let me just come pick you up and take you somewhere so you can be safe. I’m scared for your safety honestly,” the probation officer said in a phone call which Blockstar had recorded on video.

Not long after, he shared another video of himself on Instagram, cutting off his ankle monitor. “To be violated for my safety, I refuse to let them determine if I feel safe or not,” he said. According to reports, he’s currently on the run.

The clips have since been making rounds on social media, garnering lots of reactions from netizens. “He might be safer back in jail ngl,” someone commented.

“He should be put in regular prison now!! we don’t care he did it as a kid we don’t need niggas like him roaming the streets,” another person wrote. “Any nigga that take a life over a piece of jewelry don’t never need to see the light of day again.”

Back in February of 2022, Pop Smoke, real name Bashar Barakah Jackson, was killed during a home invasion and robbery. A group of people broke into the rapper’s home and a 15-year-old fatally shot him. The teenager confessed to killing Pop three years later.
