Lil Durk’s Longtime Bodyguard El Pancho Has Died

Tragedy has once again struck the OTF group. According to reports reaching us, Lil Durk’s longtime bodyguard JT Brown, also known as El Pancho, has passed away.

The news was confirmed by Jake Owens. He shared a photo of El Pancho and Durk on his Instagram Story, announcing the death of the former.

“Heartbreaking,” Jake wrote, adding heartbreak emoji. “Rest in Peace @protectedbypancho Miss you brother.” There are currently no much information available about Pancho’s cause of death, but trust us to update you once we have details.

There are also theories flying around social media linking El Pancho’s death to Durk’s legal woes. “He knew something so Durk got him eliminated smh,” someone claimed.

Others think it was because Durk is currently locked up and isn’t available to look after his people. “This is how it starts when you locked up smh Yo homies and family slowly begin to get locked up or die. RIP,” a Twitter user added.

Lil Durk’s has been held in federal custody since October 2024 after being accused of orchestrating and financing a targeted ambush in Savannah, Georgia, that resulted in the death of Lul Pab, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

According to Federal prosecutors, the August 2022 shooting in Savannah, Georgia, was a calculated act of retaliation for the 2020 murder of King Von, Durk’s close friend and collaborator.

Last week, the rapper’s attorney Christy O’Connor submitted a formal request for reconsideration, asking a district judge to review a prior bond denial and reevaluate whether the rapper must remain behind bars while awaiting trial, per Hot97.
