Jennifer Lopez Files For Divorce From Ben Affleck After Two Years Of Marriage

Apparently the 4th time was not a charm in this case because Jennifer Lopez has finally filed for divorce from her husband Ben Affleck.

For months now, there have been rumors swirling around that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are divorcing. Well, the divorce has just been confirmed.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce yesterday citing the date of separation as April 26, 2024, according to TMZ. It appears she filed on her own, without a lawyer. The actress reportedly filed for the divorce, August 20th, on the anniversary of their second wedding ceremony in Georgia.

Apart from the fact that this is the couple second go around and JLo’s 4th marriage, what’s interesting is that she did not specify whether or not there was a prenuptial agreement between the two.

TMZ is however reporting that there was not a prenup. That means whatever wages were garner throughout their 2 year marriage are up for grabs. The documents also shows that she did not request spousal support and is requesting the judge deny Ben from obtaining any as well.

Just last week, Radar Online reported that the real reason Ben left Jen is that he’s afraid that he will relapse from being around her and her fast lifestyle.

“It’s really unhealthy for him to be around any kind of alcohol. And with J. Lo, the drinking came with parties, surrounded by fake people who treated him special because of his fame, which was a trigger for him,” an insider said.

“The marriage was incredibly overwhelming – J.Lo lives a very glam lifestyle, and he was often faced with temptation. he’s risking sobriety in that environment and he has to leave to avoid his worse nightmare — relapse. He’s moving on. His plate is full,” the insider continued.
