One of the New Orleans escaped inmates, Antoine Massey, has been trending since sharing a video where he claims to have proof of his innocence. He and Derrick Groves are the last two of ten inmates who escaped jail, per CNN.

In the video making rounds on social media, Massey can be seen appealing for help from President Donald Trump and celebrities including Meek Mill, NBA YoungBoy, and Lil Wayne.

He also insists he didn’t escape jail but was “let out.” “I didn’t break out. I was let out,” he said, denying he was the mastermind behind the escape, which included 10 prisoners slipping through a hole in a wall behind a toilet, crawling through a pipe chase, and making their way out of the jail through a loading dock.

“They’re trying to make me out to be the mastermind. That’s not the truth,” the 32-year-old said, before begging for help and to be represented by an attorney, stating he was wrongly jailed on false charges.

According to reports, authorities are now investigating the credibility of the video, and federal agencies have confirmed that they are taking the issue seriously.

Antoine was arrested in March 2025 on charges of vehicle theft and domestic abuse battery. The infamous escapee was already wanted in St. Tammany Parish for alleged rape and kidnapping, prior to the jailbreak.

Massey has a criminal record that spans over a decade, including convictions for armed robbery, aggravated flight from an officer, felon in possession of a firearm, theft, and tampering with electronic monitoring equipment.

He reportedly cut off his ankle monitor in November 2023 and was captured within two hours. The recent prison break marks Massey’s fifth escape-related incident.

According to Matt Dennis, a veteran bounty hunter who previously arrested Massey, said he believes Massey won’t remain at large for long. “I’ve dealt with Massey. I’ve personally arrested Massey,” Dennis told Fox8Live.
