Eminem Disses Kendrick Lamar’s Critics On New Album
Eminem Defends Kendrick Lamar Against Critics On New Album “The Death Of Slim Shady”

Eminem has since been trending following the release of his highly anticipated album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce)’, with fans thinking he dissed Kendrick Lamar on the body of work.

On Friday (July 12), Em dropped his new album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce)’, with the intro track being a controversial one.

On the intro track titled ‘Renaissance,’ the Detroit legend name-drops several rappers which seem like a shade to those who couldn’t listen carefully. Em was actually speaking as the third person in the outlook of a critic. He was dissing the complainers and not the rappers mentioned.

“Cause I don’t see no fans, all I see’s a bunch of complainers / ‘Kendrick’s album was cool, but it didn’t have any bangers / Wayne’s album or Ye’s, couldn’t tell you which one was lamer/Joyner’s album was corny/Shady’s new sh*t is way worse,” he raps on the Luis Resto-produced track.

“Everything is either too tame or there’s too much anger/I didn’t like the beat, so I hated Might Delete Later’/You nerdy pricks would find somethin’ wrong with 36 Chambers/It’s what they do to the greats/Pick apart a Picasso and make excuses to hate/So you can wait for your flowers until you’re blue in the face,” Em added.

The ‘Godzilla’ crooner has made his admiration for Kendrick Lamar known multiple times in the past. The two have collaborated on several songs, including the 2013 song ‘Love Game’.

Em even called has K.Dot a ‘top tier lyricist’ at different times. He also tweeted that he was absolutely floored by Mr. Morale shortly after the album dropped in 2022. “This Kendrick album is f*cking ridiculous. I’m speechless,” he wrote at the time.

The narrative that Eminem dissed Kendrick Lamar is pushed mostly by Drake’s fans, including DJ Akademiks who shared the false narrative on X, formerly Twitter.

“He’s talking about the haters that complain about his and other rappers albums he’s not dissing them,” someone clarified in AK’s comment section. “People so obsessed with “beefs” right now, that they’ll reach for anything,” another person wrote.
