Diddy just can’t catch a break! The disgraced rapper and business mogul has been hit with a $100M default judgment after ignoring a sexual assault lawsuit.

51-year-old Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith accused Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting him at a party in 1997, according to the Detroit Metro Times.

The plaintiff, Cardello-Smith, is currently incarcerated. He showed the judge a copy of his visitor log that included Diddy’s name and he claims the rapper tried to settle with him for $2.3 million dollars but he turned it down.

During the August hearing, Cardello-Smith claims Diddy told him “you know how we get down” after he refused to drop the lawsuit.

The award was issued Monday by Lenawee County Circuit Court Judge Anna Marie Anzalone following a temporary restraining order granted to Cardello-Smith.

Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo, issued a statement denying that his client knows the plaintiff. Marc said Cardello-Smith had committed “fraud on the court” and that Combs “looks forward to having this judgment swiftly dismissed”.

However, Lenawee county circuit court judge Anna Marie Anzalone, issued an order restraining Combs from selling off assets that could help him cover any damages possibly awarded to Cardello-Smith. Combs then failed to appear at a virtual hearing in Cardello-Smith’s lawsuit on Monday, prompting Anzalone to award the plaintiff a default judgment of $100m.

Plaintiffs receive default judgments in their favor when defendants fail to take action in response to cases brought against them.
