As we previously reported, there have been an uproar amongst Hip Hop fans on social media after the the National Football League and Apple Music announced Kendrick Lamar as the headliner of the Super Bowl half-time show.

The event is scheduled to take place in New Orleans LA on February 9. The fact that it’s happening in Lil Wayne’s hometown has many fans upset as to why he was snubbed.

Nicki Minaj is the lates to come to Wayne’s defense, slamming the NFL and Jay-Z for selecting Kendrick Lamar over the rap icon. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Nicki went off on the organizers and specifically Jay-Z for the act.

“I love watching the whole industry play dumb time after time. lol. The truth is the truth no matter who tells it. Picking & choosing who yall accept truth from then BAM! Pow! might tell you a joke but won’t tell you a lie. Bwahahahaaha,” she tweeted.

The ‘Big Foot’ rapper then referenced Colin Kaepernick’s incident and Jay-Z taking a deal with the NFL. “One nigga took a knee The other nigga took the bag. He gon get you “niggers” in line every fkng time,” she wrote.
