Dej Loaf Comes Out The Closet Again, Makes It Official With Girlfriend Angeleah Speights

There’s been speculations about Dej Loaf’s sexuality for years. In fact, it’s been long rumored that the rapper and singer is gay, but her supposed relationship with Lil Durk at the time quickly buried the rumors.

Back in 2014, Dej Loaf, real name Deja Monét Trimble, was romantically linked with fellow rapper Lil Durk, with rumors of their relationship circulating due to frequent public appearances together.

The dating speculation spread down the rumor mill with their collaborative efforts on songs like “My Beyonce.” However, their affair ended in 2016. That same year, Dej said in an interview that although they were no longer romantically involved, they maintained a friendship.

Well, The “Try Me” hitmaker has now confirmed the long rumor of her being gay. She just made it official with her girlfriend, Angeleah Speights, popularly known as Aye Redd.

Aye Redd recently shared adorable photos of her and Loaf boo’d up to an event. Apparently, she got tired of hiding their relationship and decided to make it Instagram official.

“Unfortunately for you I know exactly who Tf I am,” Aye wrote in the caption. Dej then slid in the comments section to admit and publicly announce her sexuality. “Thanks for getting me out of that closet again it was no fun in there,” she commented.

Fans have since been reacting to the revelation and they don’t seem surprised at all. “Girl both feet been out the closet,” a fan commented. “Girl Stevie Wonder saw you was gay,” another person wrote.

“Some gay people who be in closet be forgetting the door is glass,” a third user joked. “Deja we was on the other side of the door waiting for you. We knew,” someone else added.

Angeleah has been adamant that Dej’s relationship with Durk was fake. During a 2015 interview with Bossip, she claimed she was with the rapper all weekend and they love each other.

“They’re not together they’re not a couple. They don’t f**k around at all. I think they’re trying to make it seem like they’re together. I don’t know what it is but it’s fake,” she said of Dej’s relationship with Durk at the time.
