Cash Cobain Says He Didn’t Ghost Write ‘Calling For You’ For Drake Despite Reference Track Leaking

Amid Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar back in April, rumors spread that Cash Cobain ghost wrote ‘Calling For You’ which was released in 2023, for the Canadian rapper.

Hip Hop fans claimed the fast rising Bronx rapper had written the entire song for Drake after a reference track leaked online.

Just in, Cobain has now called ‘cap’ on this claim. The ‘Play Fisherr’ hitmaker revealed in a recent interview with ‘No Jumper’ that there’s no iota of truth in the claims. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he told the host when asked to clarify rumor of him ghostwriting for Drake.

“I don’t write for nobody but me.” Slizzy said before saying he isn’t against the concept of writing for other artists. “Why not. Rihanna do it, Beyonce do it. All day, they got the biggest records. It’s a business,” he said.

The rapper then clarified that there was a difference between writing for a pop singer or R&B star versus a rapper. “It’s just rap sh*t, you know,” he explained.

Fans have since seen reacting to the new interview and many don’t seem to believe the rapper. “Drakes legal paperwork. And payoffs GOTS to be crazv! If the reference track is leaked what are we even discussing,” a fan commented.

“In other words he wrote it for himself, it didn’t take off so he sold it to Drake,” another person wrote. “This has NDA written all over it,” someone else added.

Cash initially indirectly denied the claims when the referenced track first leaked in April. He posted a photo of Allen Iverson on his Instagram and Twitter pages.

Although he didn’t directly mention any leak, fans were able to link the image of Iverson to the reference track. Allen is known for his fake behind the back move, that is, the rapper was insinuating that the leaked ‘Calling For You’ is fake and most likely AI generated.
