Busta Rhymes Curses Out Fans For Sitting Down & Using Cell Phones At Essence Festival

Busta Rhymes is currently trending after a video of him cursing out fans for sitting down during his set at the 2024 Essence Festival in New Orleans surfaced online.

The iconic rapper was not having any of the sitting down and phone using by the crowd during his performance and he quickly called them to order.

In the video which you can see below, the Brooklyn rap veteran who recently made headlines for his drastic weight gain, is seen addressing the crowd who were sitting in their seats and filming his performance with their cell phones.

“A-yo, f**k them camera phones, too. Let’s get back to interacting like humans,” he yelled at the crowd. “Put them weird-ass devices down. I ain’t from that era. Them s**ts don’t control the soul. F**k your phone.”

Busta continued, “I will put every one of y’all out until y’all a*ses is up,” he warned. Thirty-three years of doing this s**t, I ain’t use to ni**as sitting down at my show, I don’t give a f**k!”

The 52-year-old then explained to the audience that this was his first time performing at Essence Festival and was looking for an interactive reception from the crowd. “This is my first time in New Orleans.. make me feel like we’re home,” he added.

The crowd was seated initially, but they eventually stood up, which encouraged the Hip Hop icon to continue with his show. The video has since gone viral on social media, garnering reactions from netizens.

“BUSTA giving serious UNCLE vibes. He want everyone to put their hands where his eyes can see!!” someone commented. “This new era is boring. People don’t live in the moment. They just hold a phone to record,” another person wrote.
