The body of a man was found at a park in San Antonio, and a St. Louis family believes it’s that of missing Navy veteran Jarvis McIntyre. The body was found by officers at John James Park around 9 a.m. on Friday.

McIntyre’s mom, Monikki Williams Tippet, told The Bexar County Medical Examiner that she believes the tattoos on the body align with her sons.

“I was praying it wasn’t him,” she said. Authorities told Jarvis’ mother that he called them and was seen running in the park Sunday afternoon. According to the officers, he called the person chasing him a ‘racist.’

The missing navy veteran’s rental car and personal belongings were located a block away from the park off Holbrook Road, as reported by Kens 5 News.

Although Monikki believes the body is sadly her son and wants justice, it’s noteworthy that the medical examiner hasn’t officially confirmed the identity of the young man found or the cause of death. “I want answers now. I want this person found,” Jarvis’ mother said.

McIntyre took a flight from St. Louis to San Antonio to visit his two sisters for his birthday weekend. He was supposed to return last Sunday, but that never happened.

His family believes someone harmed him because of his skin color or his sexual orientation. His family started getting worried after he didn’t respond to any birthday messages on Monday, June 9. They have since came down to San Antonio in search of answers.

Jarvis McIntyre‘s sister has also addressed those who accused her of having something to do with her brother’s disappearance.

“The past few days have been more than just stressful; they’ve been devastating. My character has been tarnished and utterly shattered by a fabricated narrative that never held a shred of truth. The falsehoods implicated me in my own brother’s Sisgo Mills (Jarvis McIntire’s) disappearance and death-a cruel lie,” she wrote on Facebook.

“Throughout it all, I’ve consistently cooperated with and assisted the San Antonio police in their search for my brother,” she continued. “Our bond was deep; he loved me as much as I loved him. Now that the truth has emerged, not a single person has extended an apology for the slanderous accusations and hurtful remarks they made.”

In another post, she shared shared clips and pics of her and Jarvis prior to his alleged death. “I share this statement not only to express my pain but to mourn the loss of my sibling. Life is too fleeting to dwell on malicious intent. Instead, I choose to pray for those who directed vile hatred towards someone who only spreads love.”

She continued, “I find solace in knowing that my brother and I shared moments filled with love, laughter, and happiness in our final times together. I’m happy to know that I filled my little brother’s last days with nothing but love laughter & smiles.”
