Billy Ray Cyrus Addresses Leaked Audio, Says He Was At His ‘Wit’s End’

Billy Ray Cyrus has now addressed the controversial leaked audio of him verbally attacking his wife, Firerose, and throwing shots at his daughter, Miley Cyrus.

In the audio which has since gone viral, Billy Ray and Firerose, 37, were in a heated verbal altercation where Ray can be heard calling Firerose everything but a child of god.

“I don’t know who the f**k you think you are, but you will not listen…this ain’t about nothing this is about you being a selfish f**king b***h,” the 62-year-old said. “I don’t think you’re real smart, I’ve changed my mind on that s**t. What I think you are is a selfish f**king b***h. That’s what you are.”

In the audio which was obtained by the Daily Mail, the country singer can also be heard referring to his daughter, Miley Cyrus, as a “devil” and “sk*nk”. ‘Everyone knows that devil’s a skank.’

Following the leak, the singer and actor took to social media to explain his behavior and accuse Firerose of trying to win their divorce battle in the court of public opinion, instead of handling things in court like an adult.

“Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end,” he admitted. “As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court,” he added.

In a statement released by Billy’s divorce lawyer regarding the audio, the attorney said: “[Firerose] is the person who made the recording without telling Mr. Cyrus that she was recording him. Of course, she was intentionally on her best behavior since she knew the recording was being made.”

The statement continues, “Unfortunately, Ms. Hodges is attempting to litigate her case in the press for her own personal gain and in an attempt to harm our client’s longstanding career, as she promised she would do if he tried to divorce her.”
