Rapper turned moral police and cultural critic, Azealia Banks, is currently trending following reports that she’s been evicted from her house over unpaid rent. She evolved from being a rapper to a fierce critic, who often goes on a lengthy rant against her target.

Banks has never been the type to filter her words, and most celebrities don’t want to be on the receiving end of her unapologetic criticisms.

Her social media presence and outspoken views, especially on pop culture, politics and race, as well as feuds with other artists, have attracted significant controversy in the past few years. According to Complex, “she gets more attention for her public feuds than she does for her music”.

News of Azealia being evicted from her house in Florida for not paying $8K rent has gone viral on social media, garnering lots of reactions from netizens.

She says the homeowners were pestering her for the debt and contacted her at inconvenient times to collect it. The controversial rapper also claims she didn’t pay rent due to a rat infestation.

Banks has 72hrs to vacate the home although she has sued the homeowners for $50K for harrassment.

In the documents exclusively obtained by Peter Dredd, “Failure of the tenant to pay the rent into the registry of the court or to file a motion to determine the amount of rent to be paid into the registry within 5 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the date of service of process constitutes an absolute waiver of the tenant’s defenses other than payment.”

Also, “The landlord is entitled to an immediate default judgment for removal of the tenant with a writ of possession to issue without further notice or hearing thereon.”

“Maybe if she wasn’t busy enough to spread hate on every person possible,” someone commented. “Maybe instead of hating on celebrities she should’ve found Kandi and went to the studio to “make some beatzzz,” another person wrote.

“She was too busy whining on social media she forgot to pay her bills im crien,” someone else added.
