A Texas security guard is going viral after he abruptly quit his job live on television, detailing an on-the-job assault to local TV crews, while his manager was mad at him for breaking the company’s protocol.

The interview took a dramatic turn as a result of the violent altercation that was captured on camera, as reported by TMZ.

The security guard, Percy Payne, was interviewing with FOX 7 Austin when his manager came up and told him he was breaking company policy by granting an interview while on uniform. This turned into a heated argument which prompted Percy to abruptly turn in his uniform and quit on the spot.

Percy was initially talking to the news station about a surveillance video he obtained showing what he claims is him being assaulted by two men at the parking garage he secures.

He detailed how two young men on electric scooters pulled up to his job site and tussled with him on surveillance video when his manager appeared and things turned chaotic.

According to the manager, the alleged assault was Percy’s fault. This was the last straw for the security guard who then quit his job on the spot and finished his interview in street clothes.

The video which you can see below has since gone viral on social media, garnering lots of responses from people. “Now Percy has a lawsuit to file. Look at God turnng lemons into lemonade Amen,” someone commented.

“Why would his manager do this on camera? Just shows u these jobs do not care about u,” another person wrote. “Mannn some of these jobs don’t give a damn about people wishing him bigger and better for the future,” someone else added.
