DJ Akademiks Responds To Ab-Soul’s Threat To Slap Him On New Song

Ab-Soul recently posted a new song on his Instagram page where he took warning shots at East Coast rappers and also issued some threats to controversial blogger, DJ Akademiks.

This is coming after a Red Bull Freestyle, where Joey Bada$$ threw some shots at Ray Vaughn and the rest of the West Coast.

While fans believe Joey Bada$$ won the cypher, Ab is here to represent the West Coast with a new song of his. The untitled song is produced by Low The Great and Python P, and has since been causing a heated debate among Hip Hop fans on social media.

On the warning track, Ab admitted that Ray Vaughn was defeated and that it is time for him to step in and let people know what time it is. The rapper then threatened to bring back Black Hippy, which is certainly an exciting prospect, per Rap-Up.

Elsewhere on the track, he took some shots taken at none other than DJ Akademiks, who announced Joey as the winner. “and imma slap Akademiks when I see him,” he raps on the track.

Ak caught up with the threat and didn’t hesitate to fire back. Taking to live, the “Off The Records” host said: “If you ever raise a hand on me, it’ll be your last day on earth. You’ll join Nipsey, King Von, and Pac.”

“I hate you p*ssy a** rappers. Y’all don’t talk tough to nobody. N*ggas ain’t see you slap nobody. N*ggas ain’t even hear your voice my n*gga. Stop it! We don’t believe you,” Ak said, calling Ab-Soul’s bluff.

That wasn’t all, Ak also took to X, formerly Twitter to check Ab-Soul, saying: “Sounds amazing. Just remind that nigga they won’t throw a funeral for him like Nipsey. keep rapping lil nigga we ain’t see u slap nothing yet.”
