Our prayers are with Enchanting’s friends and family following the saddening death of the former 1017 Records artist. The rapper whose real name is Channing Nicole Larry, has reportedly died as a result of drug overdose.

On Tuesday, June 11, her former label head, Gucci Mane, confirmed the death of his protégée on social media. He took to Instagram to pay tribute to Enchanting.

“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting,” the 44-year-old captioned a photo of the late rapper on Instagram.

There have been several rumors on her condition and claims that she was on life support, prior to official statement on her death. Tributes have since been flowing in on social media for her.

According to iHeart, she has been in the music industry for the last eight years following the release her debut mixtape ‘Love & Drugs.’

The rapper was initially signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label in 2020 and she featured on 3 compilation albums before she left the label in 2023.

In a statement to The Shade Room, her team said that she was first in a critical condition before she passed due to a reported overdose. The news outlet added that the details about where she died remain questionable.

The Texas rapper had been suffering from withdrawals in recent times, per a representative from her management team.

“She came to my house the last four days to get clean,” the rep said. “She tried her best, and I did everything I could to help her, she tried.”

The 26-year-old’s alleged sister, Kay Jay, also confirmed her death on social media. “I love you girl [broken heart emoticon],” Kay captioned a sister selfie shared on Facebook and X, formerly Twitter.
