Justin Bieber made controversial headlines following his surprise onstage appearance with SZA during her concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on May 23.

The pop star appeared at the second L.A. stop of Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour, which is co-headlined by SZA.

Justin joined the singer on-stage to perform their rendition of “Snooze.” While his appearance took the attendees by surprise, his presence and performance threw the crowd into a frenzy.

The 31-year-old graced the stage rocking an all-black outfit with a Balenciaga jacket. After taking turns singing the chorus, Bieber gave the five-time Grammy Award nominee a few kisses on the hand that caused a stir and they danced through the rest of the track.

Clips of their performance began circulating on social media, with many people noting that Bieber seems happier when he’s with others than when he’s with his wife Hailey Bieber.

One of the most viral theories made out of the video was that Justin Bieber’s soulmate might be a Black woman. Surprisingly, SZA liked a post with this exact description and it has got many fuming, especially fans of Hailey Bieber who see it as a disrespect to the couple that have been married for seven years.

Some have since been attacking the singer on social media with different narratives about her career. “Sza’s entire discography is sidechick music so if you think that its Justin who wants her then i have some news for you,” one of the reactions reads.

While Hailey is yet to react to SZA’s disrespect, she shared a video of their performance and wrote over it: “My 2 favorite artists.”

However, her post was before the “Kill Bill” singer liked a post suggesting Justin would have to marry a Black woman.

This is coming amid multiple reports about Bieber’s mental health after cancelling his Justice global tour. He’s also said to have been facing financial issues and reportedly sold his music catalog for $200 million after he lost his fortune.
