Summer Walker Confirms Breakup With Rapper Rico Recklezz

Summer Walker and Rico Recklezz’ relationship appears to have hit rock bottom. The singer confirmed this in a post on her Instagram Story, earlier this week.

While the 29-year-old didn’t provide exact details on the situation, she made it known that she’s single in a cryptic post about enjoying feeling girly and dainty.

“I like being girly and dainty. I don’t like nothing taking me out of that,” the statement reads. The R&B star continued on the text, writing: “All the single ladies. All the single ladies.”

DJ Akademiks posted the image on Instagram and it quickly went viral, garnering mixed reactions from fans. “Our fav couple may have called it quits. Pray for them to reunite and continue our hope in black love,” the controversial blogger wrote in the caption.

“She needs to stay single for a bit,” someone commented. “She gunna have something new next week,” another user wrote.

Not long after, Walker confirmed that she and Rico have broken up. “Yes I’m single but don’t be weird now y’all. I can’t even think about f–kin w another man. I love Rico,” she wrote in a post shared on her Instagram Story.

“He really is a sweet man when he wants to be… That’s my Pumkin for life, things just didn’t align how we wanted cause we from two different worlds. Let’s move on now n not create false narratives,” she added.

The two had been dating for a number of months before the apparent split. During an interview with VladTV, earlier this year, the rapper revealed that he had been sliding into the singer’s DMs for years.

“It damn near got stalker-ish. The only reason it didn’t get stalker-ish is because I kept going to jail,” he said, as caught by The Shade Room. He further recalled: “…Then, one day, she finally [was] like, ‘You not finna stop, is you?’”
