K. Michelle Praises Latto’s New Album, Calls It Phenomenal

Latto is fresh off the release of her third studio album, ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ which dropped couple days back. The new body of work has been getting warm reception from fans with many praising her upon first listen.

According to majority of fans, the album has “no skips.” The impressive project consists of 17 tracks, excluding “Disc 2” featuring previous singles.

K. Michelle has now shared her thoughts on Latto’s new album, and just like many others, she’s praising the Columbus, Ohio native for the project. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Michelle wrote: “That Latto album is phenomenal. l’m extremely picky when it comes to rap music.”

The singer continued, “I can’t listen to popping pussy all day it has to some musicality, lyrics, animation, and vulnerability. l’m a country/ R&B writer so the sequencing is also important. The album was a production. Good job!”

A fan then asked what’s her favorite track: “What’s ya favorite track? Mines H&M.” In response, the TV personality wrote: “There she go and and Good 2u with Ciara and shout out 2me.”

The album has features from names including Ciara, Coco Jones, Hunxho, Young Nudy, Teezo Touchdown, Megan Thee Stallion and Mariah the Scientist, Sugar Honey Iced Tea stands as her ultimate ode to her hometown of Atlanta.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea is the follow-up to the rapper’s 2022’s 777, which reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200 off the strength of its breakout single “Big Energy.”

The 25-year-old first reached the Billboard 200 with 2020’s Queen of da Souf, which also spawned her very first Hot 100 entry, “B-tch from da Souf” (No. 95). On the Hot 100, Latto has charted eight songs, including the top ten hits “Seven” (No. 1, with Jung Kook) and “Big Energy” (No. 3).
