Gunna Is Still Signed To YSL
There have been a lot of misconceptions about Gunna and his current relationship with Young Thug’s YSL record label, most especially after he entered a plea deal during the YSL RICO case.
In a recent interview with RapCaviar for its ‘Day In The Life’ show, the College Park rapper spoke on his ties to the label amid rumors of a heated beef between him Thugger.
“I’m still signed to YSL, I’m still providing, like we still pushing,” Wunna clarified about his ties to Young Stoner Life. “Like, no paperwork has been changed; know what I’m saying. So it’s like whatever’s been getting and how we pushing this sh*t, it’s still going.”

Back in December 2022, the ‘F*kumean’ hitmaker entered a negotiated plea, known as an Alford plea, in which a defendant doesn’t admit he committed the crime but acknowledges that it is in his best interest to plead guilty,” as initially reported by WSB-TV.
He and Slime were among 28 YSL members arrested in May 2022 and charged with in a 56-count grand injury indictment, including Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations (RICO) allegations.
However, Gunna’s decision to take a plea deal after spending seven months in Fulton County Jail, sparked outrage among fans, with many labeling him a “snitch,” considering that his boss is facing nine charges in the ongoing YSL RICO trial.

The 31-year-old released a statement on that same day saying: “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”
He continued, “I love and cherish my association with YSL music and always will. I look at this as an opportunity to give back to my community and educate young men and women that ‘gangs’ and violence only lead to destruction.”
Couple months back, the rapper whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, told XXL that his relationship with Thug remains the “same.” “It’s love, always. Our relationship is our relationship,” he said.
