35-Year-Old Kentucky Woman Arrested In Hotel Parking Lot After Trying To Flush Newborn In IHOP Stall

A Kentucky woman, Caldwell, is going viral after she was caught running from an IHOP bathroom where the 35-year-old gave discreet birth to an infant right before trying to flush the poor baby down the toilet.

Bowling Green Police Department and emergency medical services workers responded to a local IHOP restaurant shortly after 8 p.m on the 29th of May.

Per arrest documents obtained by Law&Crime, police and EMS were sent to the scene after receiving 911 calls initially saying that a woman was spotted bleeding in the restroom and may have just had a miscarriage.

The caller reportedly informed emergency dispatch that they saw a baby in the toilet and that the woman had just given birth and had tried to flush the baby down the toilet.

Multiple witnesses told the first responders when they got to the scene that the mother appeared to have attempted to flush the baby down the toilet. The witnesses added that the woman left the restaurant on foot right after the incident.

Police found the dead baby inside the restroom. However, it’s unclear if the baby was born alive or not. The infant’s autopsy is still pending, according to the authorities.

Police eventually found Caldwell in the parking lot of a Red Roof Inn that was close by, after turning down EMS care. She made several wild claims, including that she’s related to Denzel Washington and Michael Jordan and to have not been intimate in at least six years.

She is now held on a $2,500 bond after being booked into the Warren County Detention Center. Caldwell’s concealing charge is a Class A misdemeanor with a possible $500 fine and up to 12 months in prison.

According to the police, the baby’s death method is still being investigated and that the culprit might face more charges.
