Florida Man Sues Disney After Sustaining Multiple Injuries On Waterslide

A Florida man, Eugene Strickland, is going viral for suing Disney after he says a waterslide at Blizzard Beach left him with multiple injuries.

The controversial part is that Eugene says he weighed 334 pounds when he rode the Downhill Double Dipper back in 2021.

However, industry guidelines suggest people over 300 pounds shouldn’t ride solo waterslides, thought that rule wasn’t posted or enforced, per The Neighborhood Talk on Instagram.

The man claims the ride’s speed caused his inner tube to slide out from under him, slamming his body onto the hard plastic slide. He’s now suing Disney for over $50K, saying the tube was defective and the ride was unsafe.

Eugene says the impact left him with permanent injuries, scarring, and disfigurement and that Disney knew the ride was dangerous but failed to act.

The report of his filing has gone viral on social media, garnering mixed reactions from netizens. “Lmfao he need to blame gravity, his force, and his weight,” someone commented.

“He’s gonna win unfortunately due to the weight max not being posted, employee said nothing, that money is his lol,” another person wrote.
