25-Year-Old Mother & Her 2 Children, Ages 5 & 3-Months, Found Shot To Death In Their Apartment

A Columbus, Ohio community is in mourning after their 25-year-old neighbor and her 2 kids were found shot to death inside her apartment.

A neighbor in the Columbus neighborhood called the police to do a wellness check on Journey Fletcher, 25, after she hadn’t seen her in a few days, according to CBS News.

The neighbor revealed that she often see Journey and her 5-year-old son, Jalani, and her 3-month-old daughter, Harmoni, but for the last few days, she saw no sign of them and smelled a foul odor coming from her door.

Unfortunately, when the police arrived for the safety check, they found the family of 3 shot dead inside the apartment.

According to the authorities, they found a handgun and 3 bullet shells at the scene of the crime. They are ruling the death of the children as homicides as of now and they aren’t currently looking for suspects, although but the situation is still under investigation.

The neighborhood are completely rocked by the tragedy, with neighbors claiming that Journey was a good mother, and they always offered to help her with her children anytime they sensed she was overwhelmed.

“I didn’t know what she was going through, but I told her I am always here,” one of the neighbors, Dora Evans, said. “All you gotta do is call me throw a rock, knock on the door. Every time she would hand the baby to me, she would say, ‘Say hi to grandma’ and she had such a pretty little smile,” Evans added.

“Bring ‘em to me if you need a break. Bring ‘em to me,” another neighbor, Nina Jackson, said she would tell Journey.
