Travis Hunter’s Wife Leanna Lenee, Faces Backlash For Dodging His Kiss At Wedding Reception

Against all odds and the noises on social media, Travis Hunter got married to his longtime girlfriend Leana Lenee, full name Leanna De La Fuente, in a lavish ceremony at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tennessee last week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver/cornerback even surprised Lenee with a sleek black Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 BRABUS 800 on their big day.

While many are already moving on from the occasion, some fans dug out a video from the couple’s wedding reception where Leanna appears to dodge Hunter’s kiss. In the clip, the newly wed can be seen happily dancing as they walk into the reception.

However, few seconds into dancing in, the NFL star leaned forward in an. attempt to kiss the bride, but she  bent backward, dodging his kiss. The sixteen seconds clip is now going viral, garnering mixed reactions from fans.

“‘Dodging his kiss’ did dude get prenuptial agreement? WOW,” someone wondered. “How long y’all think she can fake it?” another persons wrote.

“Who cares? That’s his wife let him figure it out. Y’all be way too invested in someone else’s relationship. Get your relationship in order,” someone else added. Watch the video below:

Travis and De La Fuente met at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, and dated throughout his three-year college career at Jackson State and Colorado. They got engaged in February 2024.

Hunter, 22, and De La Fuente, 23, have had people in their business since making their relationship official, with many people calling Lenee a “gold digger.”

In criticism of their relationship heightened after a 2022 video resurfaced of the couple reflecting on when they first started dating.

In the clip, Lenee admitted that she wasn’t initially interested in him after he slid into her DMs, per Page Six.

“I just didn’t respond to him. He wasn’t my type,” she said, before adding that she finally gave in to one of his messages after her brother told her who Hunter was.
