Tory Lanez’ Driver Says Kelsey Grabbed The Gun & Tory Tried To Wrestle It From Her When Megan Thee Stallion Was Shot

Tory Lanez’ driver’s has finally given his testimony is, however, although won’t be able to use it to support an appeal because a judge said he should’ve used it during the trial.

The Canadian rapper’s driver Jaquan Smith, revealed that Tory and Megan Thee Stallion were arguing in the car on the night of the shooting, July 12th 2020.

“As I began to drive, Ms. Pete started to fight with Mr. Peterson. They were going back and forth. I remember Mr. Peterson saying to Ms. Pete that he was going to tell Ms. Harris what was going on,” Smith said according to new court documents submitted as part of Tory’s appeal for his 10-year prison sentence.

The driver says Kelsey eventually asked “what’s going on” and that’s when Tory told her that he and the Houston rapper had been sleeping around behind her back. This revelation led to a physical fight amongst the three of them.

If you recall, a witness who lived on the street testified that he saw three people fighting as well.

Smith recounted that Kelsey then appeared with a gun in her hand and that he grabbed Meg while Tory attempted to grab the gun from Kelsey but they started wrestling over it. Unfortunately, he did not see who shot the firearm.

If you also remember, a witness who lived on the street testified that it was a “woman” he saw with the gun.

Couple weeks back, a California appeal court approved Tory to present new evidence. It’s noteworthy that this statement from the driver wasn’t approved as “new” evidence because Tory’s lawyer declined to use him as a witness during the trial.

In court documents, the appellate court told the rapper that they knew what Smith’s testimony would be when they decided not to use it and rested their case. The driver says he wanted to testify, but was told due to holidays and court schedules, they wouldn’t be using him.
