Tory Lanez Demands Refund From Ex-Lawyer In Filed Ethics Complaint
Tory Lanez Claims His Ex-Lawyer Received Orders From Roc Nation & Has Ties With Jay-Z
We previously reported that Tory Lanez has been found innocent by LA court and his case will now be reinvestigated. If you recall, the Canadian rapper was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
Just in, the incarcerated rapper is now tearing his former attorney apart as he continues to give all he can to fight for his innocence.
According to TMZ, the “Daystar” crooner is throwing his former attorney, Shawn Holley, under the bus to the State Bar of California. The outlet obtained Tory’s latest complaint where he says Holley ditched him right when things got deep in his case against Megan Thee Stallion.
The 32-year-old says he hired her before he was made aware of her affiliation to Roc Nation, which also represents Megan. His point of contention is that she is tied to Hulu’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’ as a producer which is supposed to be based on her life but, also reflects Jay-Z’s hit album of the same name.
In addition, his former attorney’s daughter, Nayanna, has apparently sung backup for Beyoncé in the past. The singer and spitter also says that Roc Nation CEO, Desiree Perez, assisted Megan in giving her statement to officers.
Tory says he still had to pay her somewhere between $200K-$300K despite the fact that she ditched him just 5 days before his guilty verdict. He’s convinced that Holley did not fight for his innocence because of his unwillingness to accept a guilty plea.
That’s not all, Lanez claims Holley told his DNA expert to not run additional tests on the gun in the case, and he believes these were all orders from Roc Nation just to get him to take a plea. He added that she withdrew from the case on false pretenses when the alleged plot didn’t work.
The ‘Who Needs Love’ hitmaker wants a refund and to have his former attorney punished by the California State Bar for the alleged ethical breaches.
