Steve Harvey Finally Responds To Katt Williams’ Club Shay Shay Interview

Earlier this year, Katt Williams reignited his longtime feud with Steve Harvey, accusing the ‘Family Feud’ host of failing to break into Hollywood and stealing from another comic.

During an episode of the ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, the Atlanta star accused Harvey of copying elements of Mark Curry’s sitcom ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,’ while developing ‘The Steve Harvey Show.’

“The same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had,” Katt said to Shannon Sharpe at the time. For context, Cooper’s sitcom aired for five seasons on ABC from 1992 to 1997.

On the other hand, Steve’s eponymous sitcom aired between 1996 and 2002 on the now defunct WB network.

Katt then added that the comedian wasn’t talented enough to become a movie star. “You couldn’t be a movie star. There are 30,000 new scripts in Hollywood every year. Not one of them asked for a country-bumpkin Black dude that can’t talk good and look like Mr. Potato Head,” he said.

Following the interview, Steve at the time shared a video from the set of ‘Family Feud’ on social media, telling the audience that one never needs to explain themselves to haters.

“No, you ain’t gotta tell nobody nothing. All you got to do is be it. You don’t have to open your mouth,” the comedian began before quoting Psalms 23:5. “‘He prepares a table in the presence of mine enemies’, he do it all the time. All my haters? I ain’t gotta say nothing to them. They got TV. They can cut they TV on seven days a week. All that hate? ‘Man, he on there.’”

Well, it appears Steve has now responded to Katt Williams months after the viral ‘Club Shay Shay’ interview. “You’ll never have a hater that’s doing better than you,” Steve began while telling the audience why they should not stoop low to engage their haters.

The comedian even joked that he still got hands and actually felt like responding at the time. “I used to be a fighter and I still got hands,” he said showing off his skills. “And I’ll knock your short a** out,” Steve added.
