Simone Biles’ Estranged Sister Micah Comes To Their Mother’s Defense

Last week, Simone Biles’ mother Shanon, made headlines after she did an interview with the Daily Mail expressing how she wanted to rekindle her relationship with her daughter after years of being separated.

“I would like to make amends with Simone personally. I’m just waiting for her and [her younger sister] Adria,” the 52-year-old told the Daily Mail.

“I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward. I’m waiting for the opportunity but I’m waiting on her to be able to come to me. Let’s sit down. I just have to be patient,” she added.

Shanon was met with a lot of backlash at the time, and just in, Simone Biles’ estranged sister, Micah, is speaking out in defense of their mother, claiming the criticism is unfair.

Micah recently shared a video to her TikTok where she explains Shanon is not a perfect mother by any means, but she believes she deserves grace because she had to overcome her addiction.

Shanon is a recovering addict and she admitted in her interview that she struggled for many years and her 8 children unfortunately suffered because of it. Despite her mistakes, she has been trying to fix her relationship with her children. Micah says she has mostly been successful, but, unfortunately, Simone wants no parts.

“Simone decided not to have a relationship with my mom. Which is fine. That’s her choice. I’m not going to let y’all get on this internet and bash my mom, or say anything bad, or anything of that sort because she’s not a bad person. She’s done nothing to Simone. Life happened to her.”

Micah also spoke about her estranged relationship with Simone. Though she didn’t go into details, she however subtly hinted at her and Simone not being in a good place because Simone didn’t want to purse a relationship.

“I have my own problems with Simone, but I’m not going to get on this Internet and do too much on that. At the end of the day I just wanted my sister, but it is what it is.
