Serena Williams Loves Kendrick Lamar’s Song ‘Not Like Us’

While there’s been no official confirmation from both sides, it’s widely believed Drake and Serena Williams dated briefly in the past. Well, as it stands now, the tennis star has picked a side in the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef.

Back in 2022, Drake dissed Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, on a song “Middle Of The Ocean” where he claimed that Ohanian is a ‘groupie’.

“Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie/ He claim we don’t got a problem but/ No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi/ We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki,” Drake raps on the track.

Fast forward to Drizzy’s beef with Kendrick Lamar couple months back. Kendrick showed support for his fellow Compton native, Serena Williams on the his diss track “Not Like Us”.

“From Alondra down to Central, n**ga better not speak on Serena,” K Dot raps on the song.

It’s not surprising that Serena Williams is team Kendrick. In a recent interview making rounds online, the tennis icon revealed she loves Lamar’s “Not Like Us”. In fact, she said it’s the hit of the summer.

“I love that song, it’s like the hit of the summer. When they play that jam.. Oh I’m jamming,” she said on the show.

Alexis Ohanian on the other hand has been open with his support of Kendrick in the beef. Couple weeks back, he quote-tweeted a clip of Lamar’s performance with a popular video of Kobe Bryant letting off some caustic words, which was an obvious jab at the Canadian rapper.

“I’m going to beat you. I’m going to let you know I beat you. And I’m gonna want you to reconsider your professional life choice,” the late NBA icon says in the clip.
